Introducing the first GPS Solar Chronograph within the Prospex collection – the most evolved next-generation chronograph in Seiko history. With a heritage of many world-first achievements in chronograph development, the GPS Solar Speedtimer uses the latest developments in watchmaking to advance the Speedtimer legacy. Taking inspiration from the renowned 1972 monochrome ‘Panda’ chronograph design, this watch features the same chronograph style as the original, as well as the iconic yellow-coloured accents, symbolising the Seiko history of timekeeping excellence – particularly in the Athletics arena. Since 1985, Seiko has been official timekeeper for major World Athletics championships, supplying timing and measurement services to more than 190 World Athletics events in every corner of the globe. Under a dual-curved sapphire crystal glass is a dual-time display, high-speed time zone adjustment feature and a time transfer function. Around the perimeter of the black dial, this GPS Solar timepiece enhances the chronograph functionality with the addition of a chronograph scale on the inner bezel. Legibility of the stopwatch function is enhanced by designing the UTC time zone markings on the side of the bezel.
